Monika Szpunar

Monika is a dancer, performer and choreographer. A graduate of ACTS/École de Danse Contemporaine in Paris and The Place, London Contemporary Dance School. She co-creates the international girl band The Band That Dance (fka The Yonis), a choreographic initiative of the sisterhood practice and Laboratorium Ciała at the Krakow Choreographic Center. She also creates original projects and performances and works as a choreographer for films, museums and theater performances (including the Ochota Theater in Warsaw, the Juliusz Słowacki Theater in Krakow, and the Mały Theater in Tychy). As a dancer and performer, she worked with such artists as: Victor Quijada, Dan Van Huynh, Elinor Lewis, Weronika Pelczyńska, Kaori Ito, Kasia Witek, Agnieszka Glińska, Rafaela Sahyoun and Stefano Silvino.
