Join us for a concert celebrating the rich and multicultural heritage of Chrzanów!

This event accompanies the premiere of the project “Hirsz Lejb Bakon: The Cantor from Chrzanów” and offers a unique blend of history, art, and contemporary interpretations of Jewish music.

The Stars of the Evening:

Mojše Band – A Slovak ensemble specializing in reimagining Jewish music with a modern twist.

Rachel Weston – A British cantor whose feminine cantorial voice brings a fresh dimension to traditional music.

What Awaits Us?

🎶 A Musical Journey Through Time
The concert will feature pieces inspired by the works of cantor Hirsz Lejb Bakon (1875–1928), associated with the beit ha-midrash in Chrzanów, and his son Israel (1910–1943), who left behind remarkable recordings.

A Blend of Tradition and Modernity
The Bakon family’s historical legacy will come to life on stage through contemporary arrangements by Mojše Band and the unique interpretation of Rachel Weston.
