Join us for this year’s edition of Still Standing which will take place at the former Makkabi Kraków football stadium!
There are no age restrictions or requirements for experience in choreography or movement in public spaces. The project is open to all aged 15 and above, even for those living outside Krakow, thanks to bilingual facilitation in Polish and English.
5:00 PM–6:30 PM – performative action at the stadium with the participation of Weronika Pelczyńska and Monika Szpunar and workshop participants, supported by Aleksandra Janus, culminating in the joint suspension of a temporary banner in the stadium space.
The “Still Standing” project has a rich history beginning in 2020 by Weronika Pelczyńska, Aleksandra Janus, and Monika Szpunar. Its aim is to commemorate places associated with Polish-Jewish history through movement and dance as tools of remembrance. This year’s edition focuses on the former Makkabi stadium, involving the local community in the creative process through workshops and meetings (in April and May of this year).
You can read more about the project at our website and on the project’s fanpage.
