Aleksandra holds a PhD in anthropology. She is the President of the Zapomniane Foundation, co-author and curator of the Laboratory of the Museum initiative, curator of the “Exercising modernity” program, co-founder and former member of the Museums for Climate group and the Culture for Climate collective. She is a collaborator of the Center for Research on Cultures of Remembrance of the Jagiellonian University and a member of the board of the publishing series Exhibiting Theory. Together with Natalia Romik, she conducted research, the result of which was the exhibition Hideouts. Architecture of Survival, presented in 2022 at the Zachęta – National Gallery of Art. In her academic work, she studies memory cultures, commemoration strategies and the role of institutions in the process of institutionalizing discourses on the past.
