Aleksandra Kumala

Aleksandra Kumala – a cultural studies scholar, Doctor of Humanities, and Head of Research at the FestivALT Association. She is a member of the Center for Research on Memory Cultures at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University and the international network Thinking Through the Museum. Her academic work focuses on representations of male sexuality in Nazi concentration camps, with particular emphasis on the discourse of former Polish political prisoners. A regular contributor to Krytyka Polityczna, she is the author of texts on contemporary culture.
