Aleksandra Kumala

Aleksandra Kumala is a cultural studies scholar, Doctor of Humanities, Head of Research at the FestivALT Association, and Research and Documentation Officer in the European Sites of Holocaust Memory (ESHEM) project. She is a member of the Research Center for Memory Cultures at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Her academic work focuses on representations of male sexuality in Nazi concentration camps, with particular emphasis on the discourse of former Polish political prisoners. A regular contributor to Krytyka Polityczna, she is the author of texts on contemporary culture.
