Amalia Alba Vergara
Short bio
Amalia Alba Vergara – originally from Colombia, she trained in contemporary dance and tango in her youth. In Paris, she reinforced her training as a dancer at the RIDC, then at the CNDC in Angers in the choreographic artist / FAC training under the direction of Emmanuelle Huynh.
In this context, she dances covers of Julie Nioche, Myriam Gourfink, Emmanuelle Huynh, or even Trisha Brown. She is a performer for Olga Dukhovnaya in Korowod, and a performer for the Safra Company in Café Antérieur, Une Certain Galerie des Conversations, and Ta’am. She works mime, practices tango, which she teaches, and enriches her training with intensive practice of somatic techniques (Rolfing, BodyMindCentering, Alexander), which she transmits during a dance therapy workshop.
