Di Libe Brent Wi a Naze Szmate

The project Di Libe Brent wi Naze Szmate (Yiddish: Love Burns like a Wet Rag) is a backyard band consisting of an accordion, drum and two shmajzes – Maja Pompa and Łaja Szkło. During Opening Nite: Shabbat Evening w/ Di libe brent wi a nase Szmate as part of this year’s FestivALT, they will present a new musical-verbal repertoire: Jewish songs, queer content and stories straight from the pre-war unterwelt.
