Noga Rubanenko

Short bio


Noga Rubanenko is an Israeli recorder player and contemporary musician based between Israel and Kraków. Her work explores the extended possibilities of the recorder through techniques such as circular breathing, singing while playing, and live looping.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in recorder performance from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and a master’s degree from the Academy of Music in Kraków, where she studied with Erik Bosgraaf and Katarzyna Czubek. She has performed with the Kraków Recorder Ensemble and participated in masterclasses with leading recorder players worldwide.

In 2024, Noga won first prize at the TARF International Recorder Competition for her performance of an Israeli piece composed for her in response to the Iron Swords War. She has appeared as a soloist and ensemble member at major venues and festivals, including the Tel Aviv Culture Hall, the YMCA in Jerusalem, and the Maszyce Music Festival in Poland.
