
Yael Vishnizki-Levi
Short bio
Yael Vishnizki-Levi – is a visual artist, researcher, and educator born in New York. Based between Europe and the United States, Yael exhibits her work internationally across various venues. She partook in many Artist-in-Residency programs, such as at the Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw where she filmed her mid-length debut “Intimacy” which tells the story of her grandfather’s incarceration in prewar Poland. The film premiered at the 2017 Warsaw Gallery Weekend. Yaek also partook in the Nida Art Colony Residency in Lithuania, sponsored by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
In 2021 Yael was invited for a residency in Graz, Austria where she developed two projects that were shown in Forum StadtPark and the HochSommer Contemporary Art Festival in Lower Austria. In 2025, she was appointed the Hamblet Artist-in-Residence at the Vanderbilt University Department of Art where she co-taught the senior seminar together with Prof. Vesna Pavlovic.
