There have been only 26 days of peace on Earth since the end of World War II. On February 24, around 4 am Kiev time (UTC+2), the President of the Russian Federation – Vladimir Putin announced a military operation aimed at the alleged “demilitarization and denationalization of Ukraine”. We want to show you the real Ukraine through the eyes of the people who are really there, through the eyes of artists from Kiev, Kharkiv and Buchi (Bucza). We want to show you something that we all subconsciously run from, what we don’t want to know, what we don’t want to think about and what we don’t want to hear. To some of us, this story will sound very familiar.
З часу закінчення Другої світової війни на Землі було лише 26 днів миру. 24 лютого близько 4 ранку за київським часом (UTC + 2) президент Російської Федерації Володимир Путін оголосив про початок військової операції, яка мала на меті «демілітаризації та денаціоналізації України». Ми хочемо показати вам справжню Україну очима людей, які там дійсно живуть і працюють, очима митців з Харкова, Києва та Бучі. Ми хочемо показати вам те, від чого ми всі підсвідомо тікаємо, чого не хочемо знати, про що не хочемо думати і чого не хочемо чути. Для деяких з нас ця історія видається дуже знайомою…
