Michał Zadara is one of the most talented theatre directors of his generation, known above all for his bold theatrical interpretations of classics of world literature. He asks difficult questions about Polish patriotism, the current situation of young Poles and attitudes towards history. He works with theatres in Warsaw, Krakow, Bydgoszcz and Vienna. He has staged local classics: from Kochanowski’s “The Dismissal of the Greek Envoys” (Stary Theatre in Kraków) to Słowacki’s “Priest Marek” (Stary Theatre in Kraków) and Wyspiański’s “The Wedding” (Scena STU Theatre in Kraków) to Gombrowicz’s “Operetta” (Capitol Music Theatre in Wrocław) and “Kartoteka” by Różewicz (Contemporary Theatre in Wrocław).
