Józef Legierski
Short bio
Józef Legierski is a graduate of theater studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. His field of interest is the relationship between theater, performing arts and theories of memory research. He is also interested in research on the form of green commemoration and the establishment of Happy Cities. He explores historical contexts related to the reappraisal of the difficult heritage of historic buildings close to Jewish community. He is an fan of Michael Rothberg’s multidirectional memory and agonistic memory based on the political and sociological assumptions of Chantale Mouffe. He collaborates with the Center for Research on Memory Cultures at Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
