(Re)collecting Post-Jewish Objects | June 28-29

Do you have “post-Jewish” objects in your home? Everyday objects like dishes, linens, clothes, furniture, or trinkets that belonged to Jews before World War II? What do you know about them? What might be knowable about them? Do you want to understand their histories better? Join us – together we can tell forgotten histories.

As FestivALT, we seek to identify, document, and better understand such objects. We want to increase the public’s awareness of their widespread existence through artistic projects and online and in-person exhibitions that tell their stories, open a dialogue about their fates, and offer free-will opportunities to donate them to relevant museums.

Objects linked with stories of offering aid to Jews are of particular interest.

On June 28 and 29, between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM, we’ll be waiting for you, your stories, and objects or their photos at CentrALT (9 Józefińska St.).

If you can’t meet with us during this time, you can send information about such items and their photos at any time to the email address obiekty@festivalt.com. We will respond to arrange a meeting.

You can also share objects and the stories connected to them with us anonymously.
