The performance “If I Had a Gun, I’d Take Them All Down”, co-produced by the Trans Atlantyk Theatre Foundation and FestivALT, will be presented at the Konfrontacje Teatralne Festival in Lublin on October 3rd and 4th! 🎭✨
If I Had a Gun, I’d Take Them All Down is a monodrama by Ukrainian artist Piotr Armianovski that transcends the traditional boundaries of stage storytelling. It is a raw and uncompromising meditation on Ukraine’s unending struggle with cyclical violence and Russian aggression. |UKR

The performance is inspired by the true story of Dmitry Bogrov (1887–1911) – a Ukrainian-Jewish lawyer, double agent, and revolutionary who, in 1911, assassinated Russian Prime Minister Pyotr Stolypin (1862–1911) at the Kyiv Opera House. Bogrov was arrested, tried, and executed shortly thereafter.
Through innovative use of video and sound design, the performance immerses the audience in both historical and contemporary Kyiv; retracing the path that led the young Bogrov to his final act, while at the same time reflecting the author’s personal experiences of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

O FESTIWALU
30. edycja Festiwalu „Konfrontacje Teatralne” w Lublinie
Celem festiwalu od zawsze było konfrontowanie dokonań lubelskiego środowiska teatralnego z osiągnięciami zespołów z całej Polski oraz prezentowanie najciekawszych nurtów w teatrze światowym.
Głównym hasłem przewodnim tegorocznej edycji jest „Uczta”. Tytuł ten, choć w czasach nasilenia konfliktów zbrojnych może wydawać się kontrowersyjny, jest naszą świadomą decyzją. W kontekście dzieła Platona, „Uczta” symbolizuje dążenie ku dobru, a przez to także do pokoju.
Program festiwalu koncentruje się wokół hasła „Logos — umysł zniewolony?”, czyli na pytaniu, czy nasza współczesna racjonalność naprawdę daje nam wolność, czy wręcz przeciwnie — ogranicza nas i pokazuje słabości dzisiejszej zachodniej cywilizacji. W czasie tegorocznej „Uczty” zaprezentujemy spektakle , które w krytyczny sposób odnoszą się do przemocy, wojny, nierówności społecznych i często mrocznego dziedzictwa Polski.
Jubileuszowe wydarzenie 30. Konfrontacje Teatralne – „Uczta” to także symboliczne spotkanie i podsumowanie wielu lat pracy osób tworzących Festiwal.

«Яку ціну ти готовий заплатити за свою мрію?»
Це — сире й безкомпромісне осмислення постійної боротьби України з циклічним насиллям і російською агресією.
П’єса натхненна реальною історією Дмитра Багрова (1887–1911) — українсько-єврейського юриста, подвійного агента та революціонера, який у 1911 році вбив російського прем’єр-міністра Петра Столипіна у Київській опері. Багрова було заарештовано, засуджено й невдовзі страчено. Завдяки новаторському використанню відео та звукового дизайну, постановка занурює глядача як у історичний, так і в сучасний Київ, простежуючи шлях, що привів молодого Багрова до його останнього вчинку — і водночас перегукуючись із власним досвідом автора, пережитим у реаліях сьогоднішньої війни в Україні.
