Another artistic residency as part of HOIZ, 22–23 August

The weekend of 22–23 August was filled with conversations, discussions and… a whole lot of applications!

Podgórze HOIZ (Józefińska 9) hosted another artistic residency dedicated to exploring and developing HOIZ’s artistic identity as a space for projects outside the institutional mainstream: from exhibitions, workshops and performances to installations and other artistic activities.

We talked not only about the projects themselves, but also about how they could work within the HOIZ spaces, the possibilities these places offer, and the challenges of opening them up to such varied forms of art.

We reviewed the applications in relation to the aims of the HOIZ project, the mission of the FestivALT Association, and the framework of the City of Kraków’s Social Institutions of Culture programme.

It was an incredibly intensive residency, full of diverse perspectives, questions and conversations about what might happen at HOIZ in the coming months…
