
Dominika Laster
Short bio
Theatre director, writer, and lecturer in theatre and performance studies at the University of New Mexico.
She earned her PhD in Performance Studies from New York University. She serves as Book Review Editor at TDR: The Drama Review and is co-editor of European Stages.
From 2013 to 2015, she was a lecturer and head of Theatre Studies at Yale University, and between 2011 and 2013, she held a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Performance Studies at Yale.
She curated Decolonial Gestures: A Symposium on Indigenous Performance (2016) and Performance in the Peripheries, and edited the anthology Loose Screws: Nine New Plays from Poland (2015).
Her work has been published in Performance Research, Slavic and Eastern European Performance, New Theatre Quarterly, and TDR, among others.
She is currently conducting research on Yiddish expressive culture as a Fulbright Scholar.
