Magda Urbańska

Magdalena Urbańska – theatre scholar, film studies expert, doctor of arts. Cultural manager, PR and promotion specialist, cultural event producer. For over 10 years, she has been organizing, coordinating, and co-realizing artistic events and social projects. She collaborates with numerous cultural institutions, responsible for PR, promotion, and project coordination. Lecturer at three universities in Krakow. Since 2017, she has been working with Kultura Wrażliwa (Sensitive Culture) – the first systemic project addressing the accessibility of culture for people with disabilities. Occasionally, she works in dramaturgy (e.g. “niemęski” directed by D. Kubisiak, National Old Theatre) and directing (e.g. “Odbicie” – a performative concert, National Old Theatre). She is the recipient of the Creative Scholarship of the City of Kraków and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship for the promotion of culture. She publishes on film and theatre. Author of the book “Filmowe zarządzanie pamięcią. Kino polskie 2005–2020 o historii najnowszej” (Film Management of Memory. Polish Cinema 2005–2020 on Recent History) (Universitas Publishing, 2022).
