Maciej Michalski

Prof. Maciej Michalski – historian, professor at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, at the History Department in the Cultural History Studio. He studied the medieval cults of holy women and the processes of shaping the idea of community identities in the 19th century using the example of Slavophilism. He deals with the manifestations of medievalism in modern and contemporary culture. Researcher of history of the University of Poznań. In October 2019, he became a member of the official Committee for Investigating Persecution of Jews at the University of Poznań in the period before World War II.
