In This Place | Soundwalk
The project, realized in collaboration with Marcin Dymiter and Ludomir Franczak, focuses on the outskirts of the former KL Plaszow site: in the area around Jerozolimska Street and near Swoszowicka Street.
In the first location, human voices dominate: the words of residents, researchers, guides, descendants, and decision-makers—people who, in various ways, interact with this space and attribute different meanings to it.
In the second location, sound elements and recordings play a key role, referring to the agency of nature and non-human actors, drawing attention to nature—its memory and subjectivity—vegetation, and the shape of the landscape.

When? Sunday, April 6, starting at 10:30 a.m.
Where? Meeting point at 10:20 a.m. by the Monument to the Victims of Fascism.

This edition of the walk will focus on nature as a crucial element of this area – the types of vegetation, the formation of the landscape, and the impact of the changing city on its surroundings.
Please bring your own smartphones and headphones – they will be essential during the event.
If possible, we kindly ask you to download in advance the free, easy-to-use Echoes app, which is necessary to start the walk. The app enables a sound-based experience of the space.
Note: Due to the multisensory nature of the experience, we strongly recommend exercising caution and paying close attention to your surroundings while using the Echoes app – especially near pedestrian crossings, busy streets or intersections, and construction areas.
