Ludomir Franczak • Atlas of Sounds: The Well • Performance and talk • FestivALT2026

The performative work by Ludomir Franczak, created in collaboration with Marcin Dymiter, uses sound recordings from inside a well currently located in the manoeuvring area of the bus station at Aleja Tysiąclecia in Lublin, and before the Second World War, in the very heart of the Jewish quarter. That district no longer exists; very few material traces of it have survived. Through auditory experience, the artist reveals microworlds inaccessible under other circumstances. By constructing impossible archives, he enables a journey through time and space.
