What do you do when hate is directed at who you are? Your origins, your language, your culture? Where do you find people you can simply be yourself around?
Join us for the second event in the Idziemy same/sami? (Are We Going Alone?) series!
This time, we will talk with our invited guests about the experiences of women from Ukraine: activists, artists, educators, and mothers who live, create, and work in Poland. In their everyday lives, they face a range of challenges, including hate and hostility both online and offline.
How do they cope? Where do they find strength? And what can we do – for ourselves and for others – to feel safer?
The conversation will be moderated by Aleksandra Kumala (FestivALT Association) and will feature:
🌸 Yuliia Klymenko – Member of the Board of Patchwork Association, social media specialist (SMM), a person with a disability and lived experience of displacement as a refugee;
🌸 Vira Kosina-Polańska – photographer, photographic artist, art historian, and art critic originally from Kyiv, who has lived and worked in Kraków since 2006;
🌸 Liudmyla Kramnytsa – community organizer, activist, and President of the Management Board of the AB Show Foundation.
Admission is FREE.
