“Lady Loda לײדי לאׇדאַ” Skrzypczak – exhibition

The vernissage for the Lady Loda exhibition will be a part of the FestivALT Opening Shabbat.

Lady Loda is a transtemporal creature. Her hereness, or doykait, is always updated with a changeable superposition in the probabilistic space of consecutive personal intersections. Although she was born in the last millennium, one hears varying opinions about her actual age and sex. Many maintain that she’s a merry wench, others would call her a wrinkled shrew, still others swear she’s a neurasthenic gentleman of indeterminate age. These discrepancies are caused by the fact that Lady Loda visits our timeline starting from various developmental stages of her personhood. As a child, I was persuaded that Lady Loda is our cousin, or something like an aunt. But quite possibly that was a lie—after all, adults love to dupe children – explains the author.

To date, Lady Loda’s presence has been exclusively online. This engagement with FestivALT will be her first foray into the “real world” in the form of an exhibition.

Exhibition will be open: 19.06–2.07

Opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 9:00 AM to midnight
