Maria Ka • Opening concert • HOIZ 2026

The concert consists of contemporary, original songs in Yiddish as well as adaptations of existing ones. The result is an innovative musical fusion of modernity and tradition. Yiddish becomes a living language of communication and expression here, and the electronic, alternative journey navigates through current social topics and identity issues from a female perspective. Visual effects accompany the songs, and the titular connections extend beyond linguistic levels.

We kindly ask visitors with specific access needs (hearing, visual, mobility-related, language-related or other) to contact us in advance by email (kalina@festivalt.com),phone (+48 607 542 997, +48 507 609 229), or via social media message (Facebook, Instagram). We will provide organizational and personal assistance and, whenever possible and depending on the nature of the event, will make every effort to offer alternative forms of access.  The Finker Hoiz venue (Dietla Street) is located in a historic tenement building (apartment on the first floor, no elevator). The Podgórze Hoiz venue (Józefińska Street) is located on the ground floor (street-level entrance). Guide dogs are warmly welcomed. All events are accessible in both Polish and English. If any additional access needs arise during the event, please inform the organizers, who will be identifiable by their badges.
