“Moirae” Betty Q – performance | Krakow premiere

Three performances, images, and stories; a juxtaposition of gender performance (burlesque), video art, and reportage. Through the voices of female friends, Betty Q asks about identity, scars, makeup, family, menstruation, nudity, old age, sex, motherhood, body, hair, death, stretch marks, children, and rituals. The performance stitches together the various parts of the show with the thread of the Moyras, the Greek goddesses who spin the fate of man. It puts on display what is usually invisible and silent.
