László Göndör is a Budapest-based theatre artist. His works are known for their cheeky and ironic playfulness, experimenting with finding a fine balance between entertainment and dealing with taboos, mixing trash aesthetics with conventional beauty. His first theatre piece, the neodadaist opera BajuSS, was nominated for the Best Musical-Entertainment Performance Award by the Hungarian Guild of Theatre Critics in 2018. In 2020, he won the Staféta Award, a program dedicated to supporting the most promising young Hungarian emerging theatremakers.
