Join us for a meeting with an Israeli performer Omer Krieger which accompanies the action “Still Standing 2023”. Omer Krieger creates performative actions, political situations and civil choreographies in public spaces. In 2006-2011 he co-founded and directed the performative initiative Public Movement. In his work he explores public experiences and is interested in the relationship between art, civil society, politics and action.

The meeting will be opened by Omer Krieger’s “Artist Talk” in which he will talk about his practice and selected projects. This will be followed by his discussion with choreographer and dancer Weronika Pelczyńska. The starting point of the conversation will be Noa Eshkol’s archival choreography used by Omer Krieger in the work “Amphi”, which forms the basis for the performative action “Still Standing” developed by Weronika Pelczyńska and Aleksandra Janus in collaboration with Monika Szpunar.
🗣 The conversation will focus on the potential of performative tools in social activities. The discussion will be led by Aleksandra Janus. The meeting will be held in English and translated into Polish.
