On November 23rd, we had the pleasure of gathering at JCC Budapest for a special evening. The event featured a screening of the one of Kultur Docs series, which explores the unique journey of Betty Q, a groundbreaking Jewish burlesque artist.
What made the evening even more memorable was the presence of Betty Q herself. Following the screening, we engaged in a captivating conversation with her, diving deep into the inspiration behind her work, her approach to combining art with identity, and the broader themes of resilience and creativity in contemporary Jewish life.
The audience participated actively, adding thoughtful reflections and questions, making the discussion both personal and enriching. We are grateful to JCC Budapest and everyone who joined us for this intimate and inspiring event.
The KulturDocs series is funded by the state budget as part of the "Public Diplomacy 2024" competition organized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
